Fanikisha Elimu is an NGO (non-governmental organization) whose aim is to provide quality education to underprivileged children in Kenya. We envision a world where the underprivileged are given the opportunity to get a better life for themselves and their families through education. 

OUR IDEOLOGY

Holistic Development of Children: We believe in creating an ecosystem of children in promoting holistic development of children through social, emotional, and academic abilities in a child so that he/she is capable of facing the demands and challenges of life.

The realization of a group of professionals, that it was their Social Responsibility to give back to the society, laid the inception of Fanikisha Elimu. Fanikisha Elimu is managed professionally by a Board of Advisors, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds and expertise, followed by an Executive Committee and a well-defined professional workforce.

Yes, we believe and follow the principle of inclusive education. We do provide education to physically challenged children.

Volunteering or interning with Fanikisha Elimu can help you build capacity and support long-term goals in the underserved communities of Kenya. You will be responsible for direct work in the schools and community. You will be working directly with the children, teachers and parents in the communities and assist with projects in the field of education.

Fanikisha Elimu works in the underserved communities of Kenya to provide quality education to underprivileged children and supporting teachers and parents. But we can’t do it alone. Whether you’re an organization or an individual supporter, you can support us by working together through collaborating and partnering. You can contribute by sponsoring a project, a child, teacher training, by making general donations, by convincing your friends, company or other companies to provide corporate funding to Fanikisha Elimu. You can join us and provide voluntary services and there is no specific amount that should be donated. However, all the programs have a detailed breakup of the expenditure.

We ensure that contributions made by people are used in the best possible manner. We use people’s donations in providing stationery, training workshops for teachers, meals, school uniforms, school furniture, water, school bags and books to children and teachers. We also use these donations in extending our support to more children by increasing the number of enrolments and by opening centers in other areas. Fanikisha Elimu runs various programs to work with children in difficult circumstances. These programs essentially focus on education, health care, water & sanitation, nutrition and teacher training.

Fanikisha Elimu is very transparent on its costs. To assure complete transparency to our donors/stakeholders you are free to check our accounts and/or visit programs. Accounts and programs are audited periodically and strict guidelines on finances are maintained as per Government guidelines.
